History

Shimloch Sustainable Kitchens started out in 2005 as a small family business owned and managed by John and Matt Shimloch with the help of family members and a small staff. They leased a factory in Pakenham, a suburb on the south east fringe of Melbourne that included a couple of offices, a showroom, a staff kitchen, and a workshop.

The Post-Covid building boom allowed Shimloch Custom Cabinetry to expand and to refocus the business into designing and creating sustainable and eco-friendly kitchens, utilising responsibly sourced raw materials and ensuring minimal waste. They now supply kitchens and cabinets throughout the east coast, partnering with two of Australia's largest home builders. They now operate out of two adjoining buildings in Pakenham, with one being a large showroom and the other used as the workshop, with plenty of available office space and two conference rooms, the Mahogany Boardroom, suitable for up to 20 people and the Cedar Room, suitable for up to 10 people. They also have two new distribution centres to cater for their expanded market with a warehouse in Wollongong, NSW, and Ipswich, in Brisbane's Western Corridor.
